The Atacama
The Atacama desert is one of the driest deserts in the entire world, its name (probably) derive from the Cunza language, which origins are quite anecdotic and that we will cover in a minute. So, and acording to modern studies “Tecama would mean ‘I am cold’, refering to the desertic cold weather at night”, and Cunza, on the other side, would derive from what the ”Atacamenian people” responded to the ‘Spanish Conquistador’ when asked what language do you speak, to which they responded “Cunza “, which means ‘Ours’, so in a nutshel, the Conquistador asked ‘Which is the language that you speak and they responded, we speak our language, and from there on it was known as Cunza.
